Before you apply
What Lithos is, what it checks, and what stays private — so you can decide before sharing business information.
- Why apply?
- Approved organisations can see and reach the working side of the trade: verified organisation profiles, active buying requirements and available material, and permission-based introductions to counterparties at the right point in the supply chain. Lithos does not guarantee sales or introductions — it gives you a credible way to reach the right people.
- What happens after you apply?
- Apply, then your application is reviewed. Once approved you confirm your organisation profile and are shown starting points relevant to your role and materials.
- What information is public?
- Your organisation name, country, trade role and what Lithos has verified can be visible to other members. Your suppliers, customers, relationships, introduction requests, commercial requests and deal rooms are never published — they are visible only to the organisations involved. Contact details are released only when you accept an introduction.
- What does verification mean?
- Lithos confirms that a named person, an organisation and the trade role it claims are real and evidenced. Lithos does not certify specimen authenticity, quality, valuation, legal title or export compliance, and does not guarantee the conduct or solvency of any member.
- What does it cost?
- There is no charge to apply, join, or maintain a verified profile. Where Lithos processes a payment for a transaction, a 1% platform fee applies to the transaction value and is paid by the seller.
- How long does approval take?
- Applications are checked automatically first. Where the evidence is clear — for example your work email domain matches your organisation's website, or you hold an invitation — access can be granted immediately. Anything else is held for review by a person. We do not publish a fixed turnaround.
